With over 1000 registered, it was a priviledge to interact with medical and allied health professionals at an annual conference in Adelaide. Many were keen to link into our drug prevention initiatives, especially the Youth Prevention Influencer program with whom we partner with Rotary. Many thanks to our university student, Deeanne, who is on workplace placement with DFA, for her insights and support for 2 days of the conference. |
|
Many attendees were also keen to receive copies of Elaine Walters OAM’s book – Street Drugs – the New Addiction Industry, as they could align to the need to give higher profile to drug prevention initiaitves – including education and community health literacy. |
