CARRY-IN POLICY & CONCESSIONS

Carry-ins are prohibited except for sport drinks/water and healthy snacks for PLAYERS ONLY. All other carry-ins are prohibited. We appreciate your support!



We will be running a fully stocked concession stand with a variety of drinks, snacks, frozen treats, hot food, and more!

We accept a variety of payment methods. To keep things moving as quickly as possible,

we strongly recommend using card payments instead of cash.

TOURNAMENT RULES

Tournament rules are posted on our website and are available at www.portageyouthsoftball.org/tournament-rules. We expect all teams to review these ahead of time. We are following standard NFHS/WIAA rules with modifications. All spectators also need to be aware of our general tournament rules such as no smoking/vaping/tobacco/alcohol and no carry-ins.

PARKING

Parking is limited in the main lot located at the softball fields. There are several other parking lots within walking distance that can be used. Limited parking on School Road is also allowed. There is no parking on East Collins Street. All parking is free. School Road is one-way traffic between the main softball parking lot and the high school (in the direction heading towards the high school).



All tournament guests need to obey all posted signs. There will be spots reserved for handicap parking, umpire parking, and tournament staff parking. We expect all teams to make sure their coaches/players/families/fans obey these signs.

SEATING

For those who have not played in Portage before, our Varsity and Junior Varsity Fields have enclosed dugouts for the players and a set of bleachers behind home plate for the fans. There are bullpen areas along the 1st/3rd base fence lines so we ask spectators to stay out of the way of players that are warming up. Chairs/tents can be placed along the remainder of the fences including in the outfield.



Our Freshman Field has team benches that are not enclosed. We plan to have at least one tent over each bench, but you may bring additional tents if needed for your team.

Do not remove tents that PYS has placed over team benches. We have added temporary fences to this field this year to help prevent overthrows from becoming dead balls. There is a small set of bleachers behind home plate as well on this field with lots of room for chairs to be set up.

TOURNAMENT T-SHIRT PICK-UP

Thanks to everyone that purchased tournament t-shirts. They will be available throughout the tournament for pick-up. No additional shirts are available for sale.



To expedite the pick-up process, please have your confirmation email printed or on your phone. If you do not have the confirmation email, you will need to be the purchaser or an approved pick-up person from that order. We will not be giving orders to random people or team coaches.

SPORTSMANSHIP

We expect all teams which includes players, coaches, and fans to exhibit exceptional sportsmanship. Unsportsmanlike behavior is unacceptable.

SCHEDULES

Tournament schedules will be updated online and on the printed schedules located at the concession stand. You can view our schedules at www.portageyouthsoftball.org/tournament-schedule.



In the case of inclement weather that requires schedule changes, we ask for your patience as we adjust schedules. Any schedule changes will be communicated to coaches and emailed to all tournament guests on our email list.
