| Saying goodbye to Lindsey |
|
After 9 seasons with IFS and Forfar Field Station, Lindsey Christ is moving on from the organization. She has been so instrumental in moving the organization forward during her time as the Executive Director. From the variety of upgrades at the Field Station to weathering Hurricanes and COVID-19, she made sure IFS always maintained a balanced budget and had a financial safety net. As a former student in 1996 and 1998 it was her dream job to become the 2nd Executive Director of IFS. From the Field Station Staff, Columbus Office, to local Androsian Community, we will all miss her dearly and wish her the best.

| IFS is proud to welcome Mike England as our new Executive Director. As a former intern and Station Director, Mike comes back to IFS with a true passion and love for the organization and the people who make the organization run. Lindsey and Mike have spent the past few months together in the Columbus office getting him up to speed and she feels good about leaving the organization in his hands with the direction of our Board of Trustees. The IFS team is excited to work alongside Mike as we plan for the future. |

| Teaching locals how to swim |
|
Up to 30 children and adults have been joining us on Saturdays this June at the Field Station for swim lessons. We have been thrilled with the turn out and happy to see everyone progressing! Swimming is a vital skill and our educational staff have enjoyed giving back to the community with these free lessons. Looking forward to making this a summer tradition. |

| Join our upcoming Birding Tour on Andros Island. Days will be spent exploring this remote Bahamian island by land and sea with local bird guides and our Ornithologist trip leader. You do not need to be an expert 'birder' to enjoy this trip. Daily field trips into different habitats will help participants understand the avian ecology of the island. Grab your binoculars as we engage in the wonders of this island and observe the unique species that call it home.
