This year's Warner Prizes were awarded on Monday 14th October in Crosfield Hall.
Each year, both Romsey secondary schools were invited to submit entries by Year 7 and 8 pupils about the history of Romsey.
Unfortunately, this year The Romsey Academy did not take part but we were treated to some extremely imaginative and well researched projects from The Mountbatten School. Their Year 8's were on the subject of the Industrial Revolution and its impact on Romsey and the Year 7's were about the Abbey.
Entries included imagined historic letters and diaries, guide books, display panels, games and even a t-shirt.
There were cash prizes for the best local history projects and special awards for the most artistically presented histories.
Thanks to the staff, pupils and parents of Moutbatten School, the judges, Richard Cole, Donna Hutson and Nick Hutson and the "organiser" Jennifer Adams.
