Deacon Mike Kristan and Dr. Angela Kristan join the show to share their faith journeys apart, and later together as a married couple. Together, Mike and Angela founded Saint Michael's Family Protection Institute, an organization dedicated to providing comprehensive physical, mental, and spiritual care for those seeking virtuous lives.

Some of their initiatives include providing space and support for holistic health services, offering financial aid for the educational needs of both patients and their providers, and supporting survivors of domestic or trafficking abuse through generous donations.

Did You Know THIS About the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA)?

(Also known as the "Parent Replacement Act")

Oppose the Dangerous "Equal Rights" Amendment
We are about a month away from Election Day, and the vast majority of New Yorkers still haven’t heard about the radical ballot initiative known as Prop 1, AKA the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA). As a result, they don’t have enough information to assess the risks if it passes.
Here are 10 questions to help you help them understand what’s really at stake:
  1. Should boys have a constitutional right to compete in girls’ sports?
  2. Should men have a constitutional right to access private women’s spaces (e.g., bathrooms, locker rooms, changing rooms, and even domestic violence shelters for women)?
  3. Should we create a permanent sanctuary state in New York, codified in constitution?
  4. Should non-citizens have the right to vote in state and local elections in New York?
  5. Should illegal aliens be entitled to taxpayer-funded benefits?
  6. Should parental consent requirements for medical treatments for minor children be eliminated?
  7. Should we eliminate protections against statutory rape and sexual abuse of children?
  8. Should children be able to buy cigarettes and alcohol?
  9. Should we eliminate senior citizen discounts, including senior housing?
  10. If the so-called Equal Rights Amendment was really about protecting abortion rights – which is what Democrats argue – why wasn’t “abortion” mentioned a single time in the amendment text that they wrote?
Banning discrimination based on “gender identity” and “gender expression” could absolutely lead to boys competing in girls’ sports, to men having access to private women’s spaces, and the elimination of single-sex schools. It could also mean that vulnerable women in domestic violence shelters would have to contend with men in their private space.

The vague language on “national origin” could lead to permanent sanctuary state status codified in the New York constitution, which means law enforcement would be unable to coordinate with ICE for the removal of criminal aliens from our communities. It could also advance the Democrats’ push for non-citizen voting across the state, and codify taxpayer-funded benefits for illegal immigrants as a constitutional right.

In other states, parents are losing custody of their minor children if they fail to affirm a new gender identity or green light “gender affirming care” that could permanently sterilize them. If Prop 1 passes, will it happen in New York, too?

Banning discrimination based on “age” could open up a Pandora’s Box of issues for both children and seniors.

Because Democrat legislators who crafted the proposed language failed to include any guardrails, the definitive answer to each of the questions above will be decided by the courts. That means that if Prop 1 passes, New Yorkers will be left in limbo while the parameters of these constitutional changes are ironed out in court cases throughout the state.
In the meantime, we will most assuredly be subjected to the vast government overreach the radical left is known for.

New York families can’t take the risk.
