Greetings

In a week where September (What? It's already September?!) began, the Paris Paralympics are in full swing, and a 102-Year-old woman became Britain’s oldest skydiver, we're still talking board games over on Meeple Mountain.

Recent Posts

We publish new articles, reviews, and lists almost a dozen times a week. Here's some of the things we've been talking about in the past week.

Most Played Games, part 2

Last week I asked my fellow Meeple Mountaineers which game they played the most. Here are the other answers from the team.

Abram Towle
Easily 7 Wonders Duel for me, closely followed by Cartographers, both over 200 plays.

Tom Franklin

Pente
. I've been playing online with an old friend for over 10 years now. When one game ends, we automatically start another one.

K. David Ladage

Jambo
and Azul. Jambo I have played well over 2,000 times; Azul is quickly catching up. I like both for the subtle nature of the competition.

Andrew Holmes

Carcassonne
. Easy to set up, quick to play, satisfying, and versatile (pun intended) in the feel of the game depending on mood, from cutthroat to almost cooperative.

Jesse Fletcher

Gloomhaven
by a mile. At one point I ran 3 simultaneous campaigns. 179 total plays of that. For reference, I chart the scenario, not the session. A lot of those were me knocking out 3-4 solo scenarios in one go

Andrew Lynch

Yeah, if we are limiting ourselves to most-played game with other people, it's Carcassonne by a good distance. Well. Maybe Jaipur, actually.

Will Hare

Mine's probably 7 Wonders Duel. Though I'd say Terra Mystica, Kingsburg, Dominion, and Cosmic Encounter probably come close just by nature of being some of the earliest games I added to my collection when I was a poor college student and my roommates and I were jamming one of those games basically nightly.
