Fun League Aug 27th Results

The 2nd Half finished up with some sun - albeit a soggy course after the rain of the morning. Nick D & Steve W kept up their winning ways and secured the 2nd Half championship. With the 1st Half title already in hand - they are the Fun League Champions! For the second year in a row, no playoff is necessary. Congrats Nick and Steve!

This week will be a scramble as a fun way to wrap up the season. Info below.

Mulligan Fund

$0 - Pizza was enjoyed last week so we are done for the year.

The trophy introduced last season was "improved" by those winners - Dan W and Tom M. We thank them for their effort. However, once the trophy made it into the pub, there was an "incident" (we're still awaiting security camera footage - LOL) and the top of the trophy was damaged. A new trophy top was ordered and will be presented this Tues.

Sept 3rd Scramble Info

2-Person Scramble - Best Ball - Front 9

2-Person teams - You can select any league member (regular or sub) as your partner
$5 per person entry fee (pay in the pub after)
The group handicap will be your total handicaps divided by 4, rounded to the nearest number.
3-Person Team - With this being the Fun League a team of 3 is permitted if the additional golfer would otherwise not have a partner, is your regular sub, or you have a 3-person team. The group handicap will be the total of the three golfers divided by 8.
We will pay out a % of the total event entry fee for low net scores based on the number of golfers. Some money will be held back for prizes.
One group mulligan is permitted. Each golfer pays $1 for it.

Hole prizes will be awarded - the first group may need to take out the markers. Inquire in the pro shop before heading out.

Hole #4 closest to the pin - 1st shot
Hole #6 longest putt on green
Hole #8 longest drive in fairway

All prizes and winnings will be calculated and awarded in the 3-Putt Pub after golf. If you would rather just play a practice round with your full set of clubs, and skip the tourney, that’s OK, come on out and enjoy a round!

I will try to be in the last group out to bring back the hole markers.

A "Special" Award!

Some will remember the first week of the season when a car was not so lucky and was impacted by a tee shot off the club of Eric S. Dan W being the "generous" guy that he is, decided to immortalize the occasion with a trophy. The photo shows him presenting it to Eric. Please note the windshield on the model car does show the damage! Thank you Dan and also Eric for being a good sport!

A scratch player will make double bogey or worse every ~26 holes they play.

A 15 index will make double bogey or worse every ~4 holes they play.
