| The Adelaide International School (AIS) values the social and physical benefits of regular sport and exercise participation. The school provides a diverse range of opportunities for participation in sport and recreation, as part of the curriculum and co-curricular schedule.
The Adelaide International School engages in local community and state sports associations to provide many opportunities for students.
The school is a member of School Sport South Australia and participates in statewide school competitions. The school offers specialist programs in badminton, tennis and other racket sports, as well as volleyball and soccer. |

| The Adelaide Institute of Higher Education is happy to announce the confirmation of Ms Christa Viljoen’s appointment as AIHE’s Head of School effective 1 July 2024.
Christa brings a distinguished background and a wealth of expertise to the institution. She holds a BCom (Law) (Hons), Dip (Financial Planning), and is a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) and member of CAANZ. Currently pursuing her PhD at the University of South Australia, Christa's research focuses on the financial planning of older women. She has co-authored numerous papers in academic journals.
Christa commenced her professional career in London and has since garnered extensive experience in professional services and the private sector. She possesses a decade of experience managing academic teams in both South Africa and Australia. Previously, Christa was an integral part of the Academic Directorate team and served as program coordinator at the South Australian Institute of Business and Technology. Her teaching experience spans Accounting, Management Accounting, Finance, and Property Investment.
As AIHE’s Interim Head of School, Christa has overseen the development of essential subjects for the four MBA course specialisations and the minor in Marketing for the Bachelor of Business. She has successfully reorganised the Teaching and Learning Committee, the Course Advisory Committee, and the Student Appeals Committee, enhancing their effectiveness. Christa has also taken a lead role in advancing the re-accreditation applications for both the MBA and Graduate Certificate in Management courses.
Let us put our hands together and congratulate Christa for the well-deserved confirmation. We are confident that her leadership will further elevate AIHE’s commitment to excellence in education and student success. |
