When asked to introduce himself to our newsletter readers, here's what Abram wrote:
A nerd of many facets, Abram was thrust into the wonderful world of board gaming after being introduced to Power Grid and Small World back at university. Since then, his love of gaming has only grown, eventually expanding into tabletop roleplaying games like Pathfinder and even dabbling in a bit of game design of his own. When he's not moving meeples around, Abram also enjoys visiting our amazing bevy of picturesque National Parks and knocking tennis balls around with mild success.
Top Games
Ark Nova: Having terraformed plenty of Mars, Ark Nova brings us back down to Earth where we envision designing the perfect zoo. Between enclosure placement, supporting conversation efforts, and enticing sponsors, this tag-collecting game has vaulted to the top of my game night shelf.
Evergreen: I may not have much of a green thumb, but Evergreen certainly tries to convince me otherwise. Cultivating trees from sapling to mighty trees on this unknown planet can be a challenge, especially when you're also trying not to overshadow fledgling growth with your towering sycamores.
CDSK: This is the trivia game for people who think they don't enjoy trivia games. In CDSK, you give a number value on a scale of 1-10 for how comfortable and confident you feel regarding a given subject, and your question is scaled in difficulty to match. High risk means high reward!
