| Harm reduction has always faced opposition but in the increasingly fraught media and political landscape this polarisation is posing significant challenges. With misinformation dominating the public discourse and finding its way into scientific research, and regulations hindering the uptake of safer products, there is an urgent need to return to the centre ground. How can we nurture the nuances of the debate, and ensure that evidence guides political action? |

Enter the #GFN24 panel “The global culture war over THR”. This plenary session will explore the battle for control of the THR narrative, in particular asking what we can learn from the experiences of activists and researchers as we determine how to continue advocating in a challenging environment. Will Godfrey, Editor-in-chief at Filter Magazine, will be at the helm of this panel discussion. |
