| FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE [Brighton, UK – May 13, 2024] — Brighton's own alt-rock/punk band, Creature Creature, is thrilled to announce the release of their latest single, "Linework," now available for streaming and download. This track marks the third release from their eagerly awaited EP, "The Noise," set to drop on May 27. The new single emerges as Creature Creature gears up for their extensive "Bangarang UK Tour 24," running from June 1 through October 12. The tour promises to bring the band's signature gritty, high-energy performances to fans across the UK, featuring special guests GLYTSH and paradise fell for their London show. The single showcases Creature Creature's unique blend of raw energy and narrative depth. Inspired by punk legends like Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, “Linework” is not just a song but a vibrant showcase of the band's ability to blend compelling lyrical content with dynamic punk rhythms. Billy Lunn of The Subways praises the band: “This band are, more than anything, brimming with fun and energy - even as they tackle social matters in their songs. Fantastic musicians, and everyone should check out this banging EP. 'The Noise' is a great example of what’s in store.” With their latest single "Line Work," Creature Creature steps into a melodically rich terrain that strays from their punk roots into a more nuanced pop ballad, reminiscent of the iconic sounds of The Smiths. This track emerges as their most overtly poppy effort yet, marked by an earnestness that shifts from their typical alt-rock fervor to a reflective homage to 80's post-punk à la XTC and Psychedelic Furs. "Linework" doesn't just echo the past; it reinterprets it through the lens of Creature Creature's unique aesthetic. The band’s deep-seated appreciation for 80’s pop culture permeates through every chord and chorus, offering a track that is both familiar and startlingly fresh. Despite the softer sonic landscape, the band’s core—bold, direct, and emotively powerful—remains untouched. They command every aspect of the song, from the evocative lyrics to the compelling vocals, ensuring that their signature energy and intention are ever-present. This is Creature Creature like we’ve never heard them before: daring to defy expectations, yet managing to deliver a track that is undeniably theirs. "Linework" is a testament to the band's versatility and creative courage, showcasing their ability to dive into new genres while still holding the reins tightly. It’s a brilliant maneuver that highlights their evolution as artists without sacrificing the raw edge that defines them. As "Linework" sets the stage for the upcoming EP "The Noise," it's clear that Creature Creature is not just revisiting the past—they're redefining it for a new era of listeners. This track is a must-listen for those who cherish the depth of 80's post-punk and crave the boldness of modern alt-rock, wrapped up in the unmistakable vibe of a band that continues to push boundaries and challenge norms. In early 2020, Brighton’s alt-rock/punk band Creature Creature was primed for success. With their debut album Two Finger Tantrum ready, the band, comprising Scully (lyrics/vocals), Zeus (guitar), Seb Cole (keyboard/keytar/backing vocals), Dave Cobley (bass), and Matt Hill (drums), was set for extensive touring and publicity. However, the COVID pandemic brought their momentum to an abrupt halt, leading to a string of show cancellations and a lukewarm reception for their album in a world overshadowed by the pandemic. Undeterred, Creature Creature saw this period as an opportunity for introspection and strategic planning. They emerged more resilient, ready for a comeback with their new EP, symbolizing their journey of persistence and renewal. Their music, inspired by the likes of Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, Royal Blood, IDLES, and Dinosaur Pile-Up, showcases a diverse blend of rock and punk, evident in singles like “Video Nasty,” “Mean Streets (Reprise),” and “Broken Windows.” Praised by Rocklifestyle Magazine as ready to become rockstars and dubbed “the new flag bearers of rock” by The Brighton Magazine, Creature Creature has earned critical acclaim for their depth and dynamism. Their live performances, irrespective of audience size, are known for their energy and authenticity. In summer 2022, a pivotal collaboration with Billy Lunn from The Subways marked a turning point for the band. “The Noise EP,” born from this collaboration and produced by Feeder’s Tommy Gleeson is a testament to their hard-fought journey. Now, Creature Creature is not just making a comeback; they’re determined to redefine the rock landscape they once thought had turned its back on them. Explore Creature Creature’s journey and music through their website and social media, where their resilience, authenticity, and dynamic energy continue to captivate and inspire.
