| Professional and experienced trainers, growth on personal and professional development, and friendly environment – these are just a few remarkable aspects that come to mind of the students when reflecting their experiences and journey studying in AIBT. Students enrolled in Diploma of Leadership and Management, and Graduate Diploma of Management programs had the opportunity to engage with a curriculum that not only broadened their knowledge but also sparked a lifelong passion for learning. |

| New SACE subjects introduced at AIS in 2024
|
|
In 2018, the South Australian Government undertook the SACE Stage 2 Review highlighting the need to actively reshape curriculum and assessment, so every student thrives. This includes revitalising the Personal Learning Plan (PLP) and Research Project (RP).
Stage 1 Exploring Identities and Futures subject (EIF)
In 2024, our school introduced the new SACE flagship subject, Exploring Identities and Futures. Exploring Identities and Futures gives students the opportunity to extend their thinking beyond what they want to do, to also consider who they want to be in the future. This subject replaces the Stage 1 compulsory subject PLP.
Stage 2 Activating Identities and Futures subject (AIF)
This year our school is also fortunate to be offering students the opportunity to undertake the new Activating Identities and Futures subject. This subject replaces the Stage 2 compulsory Research Project subject. Activating Identities and Futures aims to foster independent learning and the skills of lifelong learning. The subject supports students to be more proactive and reflective in their learning and to develop and use a broad set of transferable learning strategies.
To further support the introduction of these two new and innovative subjects, our EIF and AIF teachers attended the annual ASRT conference at Prince Alfred College on Saturday the 17th of February. Attending the conference on a Saturday demonstrates a commendable commitment to professional development. The EIF and AIF teachers found the experience valuable and enjoyed networking with their peers. Investing in such opportunities not only enhances teachers' skills and knowledge but also ultimately benefits the students, ensuring they receive the best education possible. It is wonderful to see such dedication to improving teaching practices and curriculum offerings. |

| Celebrating Success!
AIHE's first Academic Integrity Awareness Week was an absolute success! We're thrilled to see how engaged and enthusiastic our students were during the insightful workshops on all things academic integrity, from exploring how to use TurnItIn to mastering APA referencing. The highlight of the week was our staff-student panel on the use of Gen AI in higher education, where our panelists provided valuable insights and tips for using AI ethically and taking control of your work.
But the learning doesn't stop there! Stay tuned for more Learning Support events and resources as we continue to empower students with the knowledge and skills they need to get the most out of their studies. Together, we're building a community committed to academic excellence and integrity. |
