| It has been a busy few weeks as our members and programs wind down their summer activities. These past few weeks, our seniors gathered for a lunch picnic and barbecue, artwork was created at one of our sites and we had backpacks and school supplies donated by local businesses and individuals!

September 26th, from 6 PM to 8 PM
at South House (4460 Beresford St) Join us for a fun evening, celebrating the Syrian culture. It will be an opportunity to enjoy amazing traditional food, prepared by community members, with entertainment and activities for everyone. Tickets to be bought in advance at South House. Adults (18+) $8, Youth (13-18) $8, Children (4-12) $5, and Under 3 are free.

Fridays, 9:30-11:30 AM
at North House (4908 Hastings St) This exciting 10-week program is aimed to help children get familiar with a pre-school-like setting – understanding routines and general practice, like circle-time. They get to play, listen to stories, and take part in a variety of fun activities. At the same time the parents will have separate sessions with various community partners, so they learn about local resources, as well as connecting with other parents in similar situations to themselves.
