Community Dinner - Syria

September 26th, from 6 PM to 8 PM

Join us for a fun evening, celebrating the Syrian culture. It will be an opportunity to enjoy amazing traditional food, prepared by community members, with entertainment and activities for everyone.

Bridges Preschool Program

Fridays, 9:30-11:30 AM

This exciting 10-week program is aimed to help children get familiar with a pre-school-like setting – understanding routines and general practice, like circle-time. They get to play, listen to stories, and take part in a variety of fun activities. At the same time the parents will have separate sessions with various community partners, so they learn about local resources, as well as connecting with other parents in similar situations to themselves.

Parent-Child Mother Goose Program

Wednesdays, 12:30 PM to 2 PM

This 8-week program teaches parents and their young children how to use rhymes, songs, and stories to bond and have fun together. The Program supports parents and families raising young children by promoting positive parent-child relationships, increasing parent’s confidence and emotion regulation skills, and developing social support systems for parents.

Qi Gong is a personal practice that led to fitness, flexibility, and internal peace that combines the physical benefits of exercise with the spiritual qualities of meditation, leading to full nourishment of both mind and body.

Lantern Making Workshop for ages 8-17

Together with the Chinese Community Policing Centre, we invite children & youth to come to join in this special mid-autumn-themed workshop. The Mid-Autumn Festival is also known as the Moon Festival or Mooncake Festival. It is a traditional festival celebrated in Chinese culture. On this day, people light lanterns that symbolize driving out darkness and bringing hope to the coming year.
