An opportunity to present your science at #GFN24!

Image description

At the Global Forum on Nicotine we love innovation. So, brand new for #GFN24, we are delighted to be bringing you the GFN Science Lab, which will showcase the stellar achievements, breakthroughs and insights from the GFN scientific community. Science Lab builds on the success of our popular GFN Fives, where since 2021 we have curated and showcased your updates and insights in the form of your 5 minute videos. This year, when submitting scientific #GFNFives, you can opt to put them forward for the GFN Science Lab, which will take place in-person at #GFN24 in Warsaw. At the GFN Science Lab you will be able to present a 15 minute session (including the 5 minute screening of your #GFNFive) to explore with the audience your scientific research in greater detail.

We also believe in keeping things simple - the submissions process for GFN Science Lab is identical to the #GFNFives submissions process. Just submit your 5 minute scientific video at this link (you’ll need to be registered first), and you can opt to put forward your short film for the GFN Science Lab. If you are chosen to participate in the GFN Science Lab, you will need to ensure you book your ticket for #GFN24 in Warsaw. But fear not, if you can’t make it to Warsaw then your 5 minute science-based video will still be published on the GFN website along with all other accepted #GFNFives submissions! For inspiration, watch our back catalogue of GFN Fives here.

Why not start the holiday season by securing your place at #GFN24, which will take place online and live in Warsaw from 13 - 15 June 2024. The 11th GFN conference will explore the theme of 'Economics, Health and Tobacco Harm Reduction’ and will feature expert-led discussion on the public health role of safer nicotine products and their economic impact. The GFN programme is always driven by the latest science and evidence, and we are very excited that ScienceLab will be building on this. The theme of economy extends to our prices, with #GFN24 registration fees frozen at 2023 levels. Keep an eye on your email inbox to be the first to know about the speaker lineup and the latest updates for #GFN24!

Can’t wait for #GFN24? Check out GFN•TV for the latest THR updates!

As if you needed any more inspiration! GFN•TV, the broadcast arm of the GFN stable, reports on the latest tobacco harm reduction policy and news, as well as highlighting some of the stories you might have missed. In recent weeks we’ve featured interviews with several leading lights in tobacco harm reduction, including #GFN23 Michael Russell Orator Roberto Sussman, who joined us to discuss Mexico’s tightening restrictions on safer nicotine products, GFN23 panellist Garrett McGovern, who explored Ireland’s latest regulatory changes, and GFN22 host Michelle Minton who joined us to shed a light on how coverage of the teen vaping ‘epidemic’ has amplified the public debate around vaping in the USA.

We can’t wait to see you online or in-person at #GFN24!
