This year we have received an incredible 404 abstracts for research and practice papers and 60 workshop proposals. The authors of 379 Abstracts that passed the review process were invited to submit their full papers by 8 May. The workshops acceptance is still pending. | The European Commission has allocated EUR 1.284 billion for two multiannual work programs under the Digital Europe Program. The primary education work program will focus on advanced digital skills, climate and environment protection technology, data, AI, and cybersecurity, with a budget of EUR 909.5 million for 2023 and 2024. The Commission has also published two proposals for Council Recommendations to support member states in providing high-quality digital education and training to develop digital skills among European citizens. The recommendations aim to help Europe achieve its 2030 targets of 80% of adults with basic digital skills and employing 20 million ICT specialists. | The Erasmus+ Review 2021/22 report has been released and evaluates the impact of the Erasmus+ program on promoting tolerance, modernizing the European Higher Education Area, and dealing with COVID-19 and the war in Ukraine. The report also analyzes the program's challenges, priorities, successes, and novelties and recommends improvements for its mid-term review.

| EUA had a productive year in 2022, achieving objectives for its members through the "Universities without Walls - a vision for 2030" publication. The report outlines notable efforts in research assessment reform, digital transformation, and sustainability while supporting Ukraine's higher education community during the war. EUA also learned from the COVID-19 pandemic and explored new ways of working, culminating in a successful in-person Annual Conference.
