Thanks so much to all those who serve in our parish!

Your volunteer work has proven that one person can make a significant difference. On behalf of everyone you’ve helped, thank you for being so dedicated

and for making our Church a better place. We appreciate you!

The St Joseph Parish Christian Meditation Group will not be meeting during the months of July and August, but we will be back in September, with our first session taking place on Tuesday September 5th at 7:30pm, following the 7pm Mass.
For those who are looking for Christian Meditation opportunities during the summer, you may be interested in an online video series by the Henri Nouwen Society, titled "A Living Gospel: Reading God's Story in Holy LIves". See more details or register here.

Put your empties to good use

Image description

Each year, the Knights of Columbus give thousands of dollars away to different charities and special needs. Much of what is given comes from an ongoing bottle collection program that everyone can participate in.

Knowing how this program helps many, the Knights of Columbus are grateful to all those who support this effort especially during the challenges of the past year when some traditional sources of revenue have been interrupted. A single bottle may not seem like a lot, but every bit of assistance helps sponsor worthy causes.

Empties can be put into the

collection box found at the rear of

our church beside the stairs

Vivat Jesus and God Bless.

Studying the feasibility of a Catholic private school

in Oshawa

Image description

Did you know that a new private Catholic school is looking to open in central Oshawa? Would you like to support this endevour through prayer? Do you have children or grandchildren that might be interested in attending? To show interest, or request additional information, please visit bit.ly/SacredHeartA or email [email protected].

This survey is important, as it will clearly determine the level of support for and interest in this independent Catholic school model and will inform our decision as whether there is enough critical mass to push forward the project. Thanks.

See the "Instrumentum Laboris" for the first session of the Synod in October

Image description

The Instrumentum Laboris is not a document of the Holy See, written at a desk, but of the whole Church, in which we are all co-authors. It is the fruit of a Church experience, of a journey in which we have all learned more by walking together and questioning ourselves on the meaning of this experience. The Instrumentum Laboris is an opportunity for the entire People of God to continue the journey that has begun, and an opportunity to involve those who have not been involved so far.
