Please keep in your thoughts and prayers...

Those who have died,

Art Spry, Dave Crete, Joseph "Butch" Tobias,
Richard Van Den Wildenberg and Tracy Phillips

and those who are sick and those who love and minister to them especially...

Bob Gibson, Clare O'Neill, Daphne, Fran Munro,
Francesco Petronio Jr., Jozsef Vincze, Lynn Wainman,

Mary Hofbauer, Pauline Schumacher, Rick Crawford,
Scott Owen, Tony Ravesi, Wendy Tietze and Winnie

Jesus, Our Lord, we ask you to have mercy on all who are sick. Give them your strength and love and help them carry this cross with faith. May their sufferings be one with yours, overcome the power of evil and lead others to our Father in Heaven.

Lord Jesus, hear our prayer, for you are Lord forever and ever. Amen.

Start preparing for Confirmation

Before Jesus was put to death, He promised His followers that He would send His Spirit to comfort and strengthen them. The Sacrament of Confirmation is the final Sacrament of initiation, an excellent time for a young Catholic and their family to grow in faith and renew their Catholic commitment. At St. Joseph Church, those Catholics who are in grade seven or older are invited to begin the preparation process for receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation.

World day for the sick

Image description

The World Day of the Sick is celebrated annually on February 11th, and is a day dedicated to praying for and showing support for those who are suffering from physical or mental illnesses. It was instituted by Pope John Paul II in 1992 as a way to bring attention to the needs of the sick and to encourage people to support and care for them.

See Pope Francis' Message

To support the sick of our community, all who face illnesses of any kind that threaten life are invited to receive the Sacrament of the Anointing of the sick at Saturday evening or Sunday Masses on February 4th and 5th.

Week of Prayer for Christian Unity

January 18 to 25, 2023

Image description

"Do good; seek justice." Isaiah 1:17

The theme for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity in 2023 was selected by the Minnesota Council of Churches, USA in the aftermath of the death of George Floyd. This tragedy occasioned a time for the Christian communities to contemplate ways in which they may be complicit in racial injustice.

Christian unity is needed as a source of reconciliation and unity.
