News for Action
A monthly newsletter to spread the seeds and connect the dots.

Holistic treatment means more than pills and plasters. How many organisations are truly capable of meeting complex contexts and responding to ACEs and trauma-related needs at a time of stretched resources - and even more stretched staff and volunteers? Evidence suggests that there is no guarantee of success. It’s time to speak out for greater recognition of the level of support that is necessary for Londoners in need to promote healthier relationships and more resilient communities.

This issue has insights from various perspectives to help us grow our understanding of the impacts of ACEs and trauma, and find ways to improve our lives at personal and collective levels.

Healing and development come in different forms - as many as individuals and communities experiencing them.

Founder of the The Forgiveness Project, Marina Cantacuzino, explores in this book what forgiveness is and what it most definitely isn’t. She also addresses how forgiveness can be an important element in breaking the cycle of suffering, and ultimately how it might help transform fractured relationships and mend broken hearts.

Founder of Soaring Spirits International, Michele Neff Hernandez, presents in this book steps based on her experience following the sudden death of her thirty-nine-year-old husband, and her subsequent work with thousands of widowed people through her innovative grief support programs.

A Dot of Inspiration

"Don’t let those little moments of pride and joy slip away unmentioned. If you feel a positive emotion about someone, tell them. Unexpressed positivity is futile. Good will is meant to be communicated."
