We are on a mission to inspire every child in Nova Scotia to eat, enjoy and value food that fuels healthier people and a healthier environment.

We believe our young people are the key to igniting this transformation.

Spring is in the Air

The days are getting longer and the garden is begging for cold-loving lettuce, kale, peas and spinach to be planted. The extended daylight invites more time to be spent in the outdoors. One way to get outdoors is by taking part in Nourish’s largest annual fundraiser, the Blue Nose Charity Challenge! Get outside for a walk, hike, bike, swim or run… fresh air, (occasional) sunshine and physical activity all combined will make you glad you did!

Oh, and stay tuned for an important update next month; we’ll be announcing our incoming Executive Director as I prepare a gentle exit into a new chapter.

Warmly,

Nourish is located in Kwipek (so-called Bedford), part of Mi'kma'ki, the unceded and ancestral territory of the Mi'kmaq peoples. While this is where our offices are located, we support food work from Unama'ki to Kespukwitk. As Treaty people, we strive to work under the Peace and Friendship Treaty of 1752 by incorporating Mi'kmaw values, like cooperation, stewardship of nature and sharing, into what we do, but recognize that we have much learning and unlearning still to do. If we can improve upon this statement, please contact us.
