Nutrition Month™ is Almost Here

Well, it’s official! We’re now over the half-way mark of winter heading into spring.

March is our favourite time of year because it’s Nutrition Month™! It's a time to celebrate all things food, but also a time to advocate for change. On March 10, join us to make some noise for healthy school food with Great Big Crunch.

We’ve also created a Nutrition Month™ contest to celebrate the unique food heritage we each bring to the table. What meal holds meaning for you? Perhaps it was a favourite from your grandmother, uncle, mother or the kitchen of a dear family friend? Share your food heritage by submitting your recipes to our “Celebrating Our Food Heritage” contest for the chance to win a prize. Keep reading below for more details!

Warmly,

Nourish Nova Scotia operates out of Kwipek on the land of Mi'kma'ki, the unceded ancestral territory of the Mi'kmaq people. As Treaty people, we strive to work under the Peace and Friendship Treaty of 1752 by incorporating Mi'kmaw values, like cooperation, stewardship of nature and sharing, into what we do. We understand that there is still much learning and unlearning to do, and we will continue working to decolonize certain practices central to our programs.
