Anita Campbell will present highlights of the inspiring European Journal of Engineering Education review study “Developing growth mindsets in engineering students: a systematic literature review of interventions” by Campbell, Direito & Mokithi. Apart from the content, the art of performing a systematic literature review will be discussed. In the spirit of a growth mindset, we expect the audience to engage in the discussions and find take-home messages related to the topic and the research methods discussed.

During this seminar, Prof. Arnold Pears will discuss the results of his SteppingStones project organized in Sweden in 2006-2007. The aim of this project was to build a community of engineering educators and to increase their familiarity with evaluation and research approaches to assess the impact of classroom interventions. Thanks to the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) at institutional and national level an investigative ‘capacity’ was realized by drawing together a pool of engineering education expertise.

CALL FOR ORGANIZERS: SEFI 2024 Annual Conference
