| Forfar Marine Science Gap Year
|
|
Know any recent college graduates looking for experience in the field of marine biology? Or any post-high school students taking a gap year? They might be interested in our Forfar Marine Science Program! Our upcoming Fall and Winter Cohorts are filling fast. This 6-week program is open to any students aged 18-24 interested in gaining more experience in marine science. Students will learn how to scuba dive (no previous experience necessary), earn 5 internationally recognized certifications, take field-based marine science courses, have the chance to opt into earning college credit, and volunteer with local nonprofits. |

| Volunteer at Forfar! Work alongside fellow Forfar Alumni and staff to complete Forfar maintenance projects such as: painting, landscaping, trail maintenance, and more! All skill levels are welcome. This volunteer opportunity also includes a boat day to explore the island, relax, and have fun!

We are getting excited for the upcoming 2022-2023 season! As we look to the new season, our calendar is quickly filling up with week-long middle school, high school, and university groups. If you or someone you know is planning to bring a group to Forfar next year or is interested in learning more, we encourage you to reach out to us as soon as possible! |

| We would like to give a huge thank you to our 2021-2022 Forfar Educational Staff. Thank you all for your hard work, dedication, and accomplishments this year! We appreciate all your flexibility and adaptability as we began welcoming groups back to Forfar. We are excited to announce that Mike England will be the Station Director for the 2022-2023 season. This will be his third season as director (fifth season total at Forfar) with his new edition, Fish the Dog.
We also send out another heartfelt thank you to our local staff who do a great job keeping our guests fed and our facilities clean, safe, and operational! It is your commitment and talent that keep Forfar Field Station up and operational. We are extremely grateful for you!
