IU Health reports 'all-time high' number of COVID patients being treated

IU Health is reporting an all-time high number of COVID-19 patients being treated in its hospitals. The hospital system is caring for 518 COVID patients. To put that in perspective, the summer/fall peak was 459 and the previous high from last winter was 517.

Holcomb wants health emergency provisions split from vaccine mandate ban

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources said Friday that hunting, fishing and trapping license fees will increase next year for the first time since 2006. DNR will also hike the cost of other commercial license fees, some for the first time since the 1980s.

NHL shuts down 2 more teams for a week amid COVID surge

The league shut down two more teams through the Christmas holiday break on Friday, eager to avoid putting all 32 on pause amid worsening COVID-19 conditions across North America. A total of 20 NHL games have now been postponed, the majority of which have come in recent days, and roughly 10% of the 700-plus players are currently in the league’s virus protocol.
