Who Benefits From Dump and Run?
Dump and Run is set up and run entirely by volunteers. The money raised by the Dump and Run sale supports two not for profit organizations. One is Cops, Kids and Toys, an organization that has been helping provide holiday gifts for children in Tompkins County, NY for over 30 years. Last year Cops, Kids and Toys served over 560 families and over 1300 children. The second organization is NAMI-Finger Lakes. NAMI stands for National Alliance for Mental Illness. NAMI-Finger Lakes provides free support and education for families and others impacted by mental illness. To learn more about these organizations you can go to their web sites: Copskidsandtoys.org and www.namifingerlakes.org.
What To Expect
We are anticipating lines and will expect physical distancing and the wearing of masks inside the store. The microwaves, fridges, rugs, plastic storage, and furniture items in the back room will be picked up using the back door and will not be carried through the store. These items will need to be paid for in the main store checkout location and a stamped receipt will need to be presented to pickup your items at the back door. The store does not have enough room to carry these bulky items through the store.
We do not have changing rooms to try on clothing. We also do not have any restrooms available to customers. Restrooms for the public are in the Food Court down the hall inside the Mall.
Payments
Payments accepted will be cash, credit, and debit cards. The Dump and Run Specialty, Grab and Go Store will only take credit cards. All receipts will be texted or emailed to the purchaser, as we aim to be environmentally friendly.
Delivery For a Fee
For Students wanting delivery on large items that they purchase. This can be arranged for a $25 dollar delivery fee. One attempt of delivery will be made and the student must be home to collect the items.
Please wear a mask to the Dump and Run Sale
