Traut Firm welcomes their newest Project SELF Summer Intern, Lucia Ramirez. Eric's previous interns have gotten numerous scholarships and even accepting offers from schools like Berkley Law School. We wish all the best to Lucia and look forward to working with her!
Members of the Italian American Lawyers of Orange County Lex Romana gathered after 16 months for their June meeting. The group safely celebrated their return with a dinner at Antonello.
Buena Park’s dedication to equity and inclusiveness is now on display for the world to see. Mayor Traut was present for the addition of the Pride Flag at City Hall. Says Connor, "Progress. Buena Park is now flying the Pride Flag at City Hall during Pride Month."
To help aid the efforts of finding the criminals involved in the shooting of 6-year-old Aiden Leos, Eric contributed to the reward for finding Aiden's killers. Said Eric to the family, "An arrest won't change things, but in my experience in handling wrongful death cases over 30 years, it does provide a modicum of justice and a little closure for the family."
Eric Speaks at CAL-ABOTA Expedited Jury Trial Seminar
Eric spoke alongside the Hon. John M. Pacheco, Courtney Car, and Jay S. Korn, Esq. at the CAL-ABOTA Expedited Jury Trial Seminar last month. The seminar "The Nuts and Bolts of Expedited Jury Trials in California" featured Eric as the special guest speaker as a "noted expert and frequent speaker on Expedited Jury Trials."
Mayor Connor Traut was honored to experience a ride-along with the Buena Park Police Department. The action-filled night was jam-packed with arrests, a foot pursuit, K-9 police dogs, and even a high-speed car pursuit. Says Connor, "I can't imagine what the officers are feeling just trying to keep our community safe. It is an intense experience, though."
Unique Practice Area: Driverless Car Injury or Death
In the wake of recently reported deaths and injuries caused by a driver of a car set to "auto pilot," sadly, we know that a driverless car can be dangerous to those inside and outside the vehicle. This new technology has not been perfected, so such incidents will likely continue.

Pamela Liosi-Traut has over 25 years of experience handling personal injury matters. She has practiced with the Traut Firm since 2014, doing exclusively plaintiff’s personal injury and wrongful death law. Throughout her legal career, Pamela has been involved in numerous jury and bench trials where she represented both plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury, medical malpractice and wrongful death matters.
Says Eric about Active Movers: "These guys went above and beyond. Had them move and install a washer and dryer. A shelf needed to be moved and Jorge called to let me know of the problem and that they could fix it. He then sent me a video of the finished installation and that both units worked. They showed up on time and efficiently competed the job."
Sylvia Real is a legal assistant to both Eric and Connor. She is primarily responsible for preparing draft lawsuits and coordinating experts for both deposition and trial. Sylvia had extensive experience with defense firms prior to joining the Traut Firm in January of 2018. She is an essential member of the team, working on many of the high profile, wrongful death and, personal injury cases handled by the firm. She is a graduate of California State University Long Beach with a Bachelor’s Degree in History.
